TransitWiki: A New Interactive Resource
Accelerating Cost-Effective Strategies to Improve Transit Service
Launched in April of this year, TransitWiki.org is an interactive resource designed to facilitate information transfer among California's transit agencies to accelerate the successful implementation of cost-effective strategies to improve transit service. The site is maintained by the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies, with funding provided by the California Department of Transportation's Division of Mass Transportation.
For our September 12, 2013 webinar presentation, Juan Matute, project manager for the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies, provided historical perspective on how TransitWiki.org came to be, its value as a resource to transit agencies, and how transit agencies can enhance its value by contributing new content.
