Transit Talks - SB 95 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave Requirements

Earlier this year, Governor Gavin Newsom signed SB 95 (Committee on Budget and Fiscal Review) [Chapter 13, Statutes of 2021], emergency legislation that ensures access to up to 80 hours of COVID-19 supplemental paid sick leave for eligible employees, including those advised to quarantine or isolate and those caring for COVID-impacted family members. The bill expands on more limited supplemental paid sick leave requirements, enacted last year in AB 1867 [Chapter 45, Statutes of 2020].
