Transit Talks - AB 1351 Draft Study on Paratransit and Dial-A-Ride

In 2019, the California State Legislature approved AB 1351 (Lackey), which required the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) to conduct a study on the procedures public transit agencies use to provide dial-a-ride and paratransit services to individuals with disabilities who are visiting their service territories and are certified to use another instate public transit operator's similar dial-a-ride and paratransit services. This webinar reviewed CalSTA's findings, published in a draft assessment released earlier this year. The draft assessment could inform the adoption of new guidelines for the development of a statewide program for individuals with disabilities certified for paratransit services by one transit be eligible to use another in-state public operator's similar dial-a-ride or paratransit services.
