2008 Fall Conference and EXPO
Thanks to all the attendees, presenters, sponsors and other participants
who made our 2008 Fall Conference and EXPO such a success!
Compared to the months and months of work that go into planning our annual fall conference, the event itself always seems to fly by in an instant. This year was no exception. Each year, we aim to present a conference that appeals to a broad cross-section of transit providers - from large, urban multi-modal agencies to small rural operations. Feedback we've received indicates we met that goal this year. Many attendees remarked that the co-hosting arrangement we shared this year with the California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT) added a lot of diversity to both the participants and the educational offerings. Our thanks go out to those at CalACT for all they did to help plan and enhance this year's event. Thanks also to the numerous suppliers who helped comprise one of our most successful vendor expos ever, to the many speakers and presenters who provided the depth to the numerous sessions and discussions, and to the staff at Monterey-Salinas Transit for serving as such gracious hosts. Thanks lastly to Mary Zavislan, the Association's Meetings and Membership Director, and to all the Association staff who put in many long hours making the conference such a tremendous success. Association staff is already laying the groundwork for next year's gathering - see you next October in Pasadena!
